Welcome to the we.CAN.tri Sprint Triathlon
we.CAN.tri is a sprint-length triathlon (400yd swim; 12.4mi bike; 3.5mi run) open to anyone 6 and over. In this, our second year, we are proud to offer a team division for those wishing to share the fun, as well as a children's event (50-100yd swim, 3.5mi bike, 1mi run) for those ages 6 - 14.
Team divisions and individual participants will compete in the same event, starting at 7am; the children's event will follow, starting at approximately 10:30am.
Our goals are to encourage people to adopt a healthy and active lifestyle by committing to training for this event, to invite experienced athletes to try a new type of event, and to raise money for The Cure Starts Now Foundation in the process. Since the course is not difficult and the swim is in a pool, it is a great opportunity for first-time triathletes to give it a go, and for experienced ones to see some amazing times! This race takes place in Woodstock's BEAUTIFUL Emricson Park, and is sure to be fun for the entire family.
